How to use this tool
Add each shift's start time, end time and unpaid break in minutes, using a 24-hour clock.
Check the shift breakdown before using the total. Overnight shifts are supported; overtime and payroll rules are not applied.
Total paid time = Σ (shift duration − unpaid break)
Worked example

Example inputs
- Shifts: 09:00,17:00,30; 09:00,17:00,30; 09:00,17:00,30; 09:00,17:00,30; 09:00,17:00,30
Method illustration: Five shifts from 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute unpaid break total 37 hours 30 minutes, or 37.5 hours.
Assumptions and limits
- An end time earlier than its start is treated as the next day. A shift must be shorter than 24 hours.
- Breaks are entered as minutes and cannot exceed the shift duration. This tool does not calculate overtime law or pay.
