How to use this tool
Choose the currency pair and enter either your own rate or explicitly load a dated ECB reference rate.
Check the rate date and basis before using the converted amount. The initial 1:1 rate is illustrative; fees and provider spreads are excluded.
Converted amount = source amount × destination-per-source rate
Worked example
100 EUR · converted amount
Fixed example using the settings below. Monetary examples use USD; dates and times use their stated reference values. This example stays unchanged when you edit your calculation.
Example inputs
- Amount: 100
- From currency: USD
- To currency: EUR
- Rate: destination units per source unit: 1
- Rate date / basis: Illustrative entered rate — load ECB rates or enter your own
Method illustration: 100 at a rate of .9 destination units per source unit converts to 90.
Assumptions and limits
- Load reference rates explicitly. ECB business-day rates, delivered by Frankfurter, are indicative rather than executable bank rates.
- Manual rates are accepted with your own basis. A stale or unavailable network rate is reported; no previous quote is silently substituted.
- Changing a currency clears a loaded quote. Only currency codes are sent to the provider, never your amount.
