How to use this tool
Choose Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin for each side and enter the temperature.
Offsets matter as well as scale factors. Values below absolute zero are rejected.
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32; K = °C + 273.15
Worked example
68 °F · converted value
Fixed example using the settings below. Monetary examples use USD; dates and times use their stated reference values. This example stays unchanged when you edit your calculation.
Example inputs
- Value: 20
- From: Celsius (°C)
- To: Fahrenheit (°F)
Method illustration: 20 °C = 68 °F = 293.15 K.
Assumptions and limits
- Temperatures below absolute zero are invalid. Kelvin uses K, without a degree symbol.
- Results are rounded for display; intermediate calculations use full floating-point precision.
